Young dental patient left high and dry following faulty orthodontic treatment

Miss A, a 23 year old dental patient from the South East, couldn’t claim a penny following faulty orthodontic treatment.

Miss A was a student when she began treatment with two orthodontists to straighten her teeth.  Two years into the treatment, after experiencing significant problems and a lot of pain, she decided to obtain a second opinion and visited another dentist who confirmed that the standard of work was poor and it would need to be repeated.

Miss A contacted specialist dental negligence solicitors, the Dental Law Partnership, with the problem.  Unfortunately, after investigations it was discovered that the orthodontists had left the UK and could not be traced.

Miss A was unable to bring a claim against them and had to fund her own corrective treatment.
