No compensation for South East dental patient

Mrs U, a 46 year old woman from the South East, was unable to sue her dentist following faulty bridge work.

Mrs U had paid privately to have a bridge made to improve the appearance of her teeth.  Unhappy with the results, she sought a second opinion with a new dentist who confirmed that the bridge was very poor and a replacement was required.

Mrs U approached specialist dental negligence solicitors, the Dental Law Partnership in a bid to bring a claim against the dentist for the faulty work.  Unfortunately, it was discovered that the dentist was not insured when he treated Mrs U therefore her case had to be closed.

Mrs U was left to foot the bill herself for the replacement bridge.
